The Panhellenic Council is the national council of recognized sororities that can exist on college campuses. For more updates and information be sure to following IFC on Instagram nyuifc.
MGC fraternities and sororities have different recruitment processes than the other councils. Some fraternities or sororoities have intake, where interested students get to know members of the chapter and attend events for a semester or more before going through the new member process. Other fraternities and sororities have recruitment which is when interested members attend events during a specific timeframe to get to know the organization.
After the events, and if invited, prospective new members have the opportunities to go through a new member process. The Panhellenic Council will be holding a formal recruitment process this Fall semester.
More information will be provided as the Panhellenic Council, sororities, and membership work with NYU and their national organizations to ensure all safety and health protocols are implemented. In the fall semester, only those chapters with an annual evaluation score of Three Stars or more are eligible to recruit new first-year NYU students.
Chapters with Two Star and One Star scores are ineligible to bring in first-year membership in the fall semester, and must defer their recruitment of freshmen to the spring semester. In the spring semester, all chapters in good standing can recruit first-year students. Like, a 75 degrees with a mild Northwest breeze nice. For some reason beyond my comprehension, college girls hate nice guys. Enter Zeta Psi, quite the mixed bag of characters.
Your "stereotypical Zete" does not exist because that would insinuate that any more than two brothers have anything in common. These dudes actually have their act together. Some AEPi guys are genuinely nice, and some are just painfully awkward.
